Privacy Policy

Introduction

This privacy policy describes how ClipMate ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our application.

Information We Collect

ClipMate is designed with privacy as a core principle. The application stores your clipboard history locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your clipboard data on our servers.

If you choose to create an account for ClipMate Pro, we collect your email address to manage your subscription and provide access to Pro features.

Local Data Storage

All clipboard history is stored locally on your device in memory or local storage. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to sync or share it through your own means.

Third-Party Services

Our application does not use third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. If you choose to use AI features with local models (such as Ollama or LM Studio), those services operate entirely on your device.

For users who sign up for an account, we use Resend to manage our contact lists and send transactional emails or updates. By creating an account, you acknowledge that your email address will be shared with Resend for these purposes. We have a Data Processing Agreement in place to ensure GDPR compliance.

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your clipboard history depends on your device's security measures. We recommend using appropriate device security features such as encryption, passwords, and biometric authentication.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page.
